  3. The following information is for the modification of the Kenwood
  4. TH-25AT 2 meter handheld. Thanks go to Brad Killebrew, N5LJV for
  5. providing this modification. I have not tried this modification
  6. so I can't verify that this will work.

  8. TH-25AT MARS/CAP MODIFICATION
  9.  
  10. The following modification will allow the TH-25AT to transmit
  11. from 141.000 Mhz to 162.995 Mhz. Specifications are guaranteed
  12. for the Amateur band only. The transceiver may require
  13. realignment of the PLL circuits.
  14.  
  15. 1. Disconnect the battery pack and antenna.
  16.  
  17. 2. Remove the VOLUME, SQUELCH, and TUNING control knobs by
  18.    pulling them straight up from the top panel.
  19.  
  20. 3. Using a 7mm spanner wrench, remove the nut from the VOLUME
  21.    control and the nut from the TUNING control.
  22.  
  23. 4. Remove one screw located by the PTT switch.
  24.  
  25. 5. Remove one screw located by the speaker jack.
  26.  
  27. 6. Remove two screws from the battery terminal plate.
